According to Guinness World Records, Bob Wolff holds the record for the most consecutive years as a sports broadcaster, and he did so while calling some of the most iconic games of all time. He also holds the distinction of being the first to have covered the championship games in the four North American sports (MLB, NBA, NFL & NHL), and nobody can ever take that away from Wolff.

Wolff’s first large sports broadcasting role was as the radio voice of the Washington Senators (1947-60), and he did the first season when they relocated to Minnesota, but through the 50s, he gained national exposure when he called Don Larsen’s perfect game and the famed 1958 NFL Championship between the New York Giants and Baltimore Colts.

Wolff, however, would become far more known for his decades of work at Madison Square Gardens for the New York Knicks and New York Rangers. Over the course of his long career, Wolff also brought his vivid storytelling to roles for the Colts, Washington Redskins, Cleveland Browns, and even the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the NASL.

We are proud to nominate Bob Wolff for the United States Athletic Hall of Fame.
