  • While there have been many trailblazing women in sports journalism, few have kicked down as many doors as Hannah Storm.

Born Hannah Storen, Storm altered her last name in her early career as a rock jock and kept it as he she ventured into the sports world. She joined CNN in 1988 as the first female host for CNN Sports Tonight, and in 1992, NBC hired her, where she has since become one of the faces of their sports broadcasting programs.

Storm’s professionalism and poise were on display on the national level immediately. She quickly became one of their go-to studio hosts, and as her profile rose, so did her bidders. Storm joined ESPN/ABC in 2008, where the list of her assignments grew, as did her television time. In 2018, she made history with Andrea Kremer as the first all-female duo to call an NFL game for Amazon Prime.

She also proved her mettle in the news world, where she has interviewed multiple political figures and hosted newsmagazine programs.
We are proud to nominate Hannah Storm for the United States Athletic Hall of Fame.
