  • “Hello Friends”

This is how Jim Nantz welcomes fans to every broadcast (originally done to pay respect to his father, who had Alzheimer's), and his warm, authoritative delivery carries through every single time.

Employed by CBS since 1985, Nantz began his national presence doing studio work for the network’s college football and basketball coverage, but when Brent Musburger was unceremoniously ousted in 1990, Nantz became the prime face of NCAA coverage and the Masters, and has been broadcasting NFL Games since 2004.

Nantz has also hosted multiple Olympics.

When it is all said and done, Nantz could very well go down as the most prolific sports voice in CBS Sports history.

We are proud to nominate Jim Nantz for the United States Athletic Hall of Fame.
