  • Kevin Harlan began his broadcasting career right out of college at 22, when he was the voice of the Kansas City Kings on both television and radio. He later called games at the University of Kansas (his alma mater) and for the Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Timberwolves, but it was in 1998 when he breached the national stage when he joined CBS.

Harlan’s high-octane energy and improvisational skills served him well on both gridiron and hardwood calls, and he has been a mainstay on NFL and NCAA college basketball games, especially March Madness. As of this writing, Harlan holds the record for calling the most consecutive Super Bowls on network radio (16, 2011-26) and is one of three broadcasters (Marv Albert & Dick Stockton being the others) to have called at least 3,000 games in the Big Four North American Sports.

    He isn’t done yet.

We are proud to nominate Kevin Harlan for the United States Athletic Hall of Fame.
