  • One of the most versatile broadcasters in the business, Don Criqui was known for his work calling football, but he effortlessly transitioned from sport to sport, always providing the action in a warm, yet commanding voice.

Criqui, who worked for CBS, NBC, and later CBS again, became best known as the Voice of the Orange Bowl, having called 14 of the contests, including the 1984 contest between Miami and Nebraska, often cited as the greatest game in College Football history. He also worked as the radio voice for Notre Dame football for 12 years.

We are proud to nominate Don Criqui for the United States Athletic Hall of Fame.
