One of the most acclaimed boxing broadcasters of all time, Al Bernstein, wrote about the sport in the mid-1970s, and in 1980, he joined ESPN as their Top Rank Boxing Analyst, a role he held for nearly 25 years.
Bernstein called many legendary fights of the 90s, 2000s, and beyond, and called over 2,500 fights over his career. This included professional and amateur, as he was a regular contributor on Olympic telecasts.
Bernstein would later write multiple boxing books.
We are proud to nominate Al Bernstein for the United States Athletic Hall of Fame.
