3 Super Bowls (XXXII, XXXIII & 50)
Member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame
Pat Bowlen bought the Denver Broncos in 1984, and he would serve as their CEO for 31 years. Under Bowlen, the Broncos became one of the powers of the AFC, winning 13 divisions, appearing in seven Super Bowls, and winning three. Beyond that, the Broncos would have 21 winning seasons while Bowlen was the owner, a considerable step up from the relative lack of success before he arrived.
Bowlen passed away in 2019 due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease.
We are proud to nominate Pat Bowlen for the United States Athletic Hall of Fame.
