    • Guy Chamberlin was arguably the most successful coach during the NFL’s early years, with a winning percentage of .784, which remains among the league's top figures. As a standout player-coach, he was known for transforming struggling or new teams into champions. After winning a title with the Chicago Staleys in 1921, he took charge of the Canton Bulldogs in 1922. Under his guidance, the Bulldogs went undefeated in two seasons and secured two NFL championships in 1922 and 1923, thanks to his disciplined coaching and his own excellent play at end.

      In 1924, Chamberlin joined the Cleveland Bulldogs and quickly achieved his third consecutive head coaching title. He continued his successful streak by moving to the Frankford Yellow Jackets in 1925, guiding them to the NFL championship in 1926. Over just six seasons as a head coach, Chamberlin won four league titles across three different teams—an unmatched display of versatility and dominance. Celebrated for his tactical genius and ability to motivate his players, "The Champ" was posthumously inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a founding member in 1965.
