Jimmie Johnson is a legendary NASCAR driver who revolutionized success in modern racing, notably during his historic streak of five consecutive Cup Series championships from 2006 to 2010. Driving the No. 48 Lowe's Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports, Johnson teamed up with crew chief Chad Knaus, creating one of the most powerful duos in sports history. Throughout his full-time career, he won a total of seven Cup Series titles, tying him with Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt as the top champions in NASCAR.
His 83 career wins, including two Daytona 500 victories and four Brickyard 400 titles, place him among the top ten on the all-time wins list.
We are proud to nominate Jimmie Johnson for the United States Athletic Hall of Fame.
