The first half of the 1990s was the Greg Maddux era, a period of time during which the pitcher was so dominant that he won the Cy Young four years in a row (1992-95). This was punctuated by a World Series Championship for his Atlanta Braves.
Maddux not only has an incredible peak but also a lengthy career where he accumulated over 350 Wins and 3,000 Strikeouts while walking less than 1,000 batters. Maddux was the most efficient pitcher of his era and the best defensively, having won 18 gold gloves.
We are proud to nominate Greg Maddux for the United States Athletic Hall of Fame.
